Angela Gayle
I am Angela Gayle Melton. My grandmother named me.
Angela means messenger and Gayle means source of joy.
So it is only fitting that I believe I have something to say.
I have had a life of both hardship and happiness. I have cried tears of joy and pain.
I have experienced adversity and diversity.
Throughout my life I have been blessed with exceptional health.
I eat organic, never been overweight, never smoked or did drugs, took good care of myself.
Then my world was rocked when I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
I have no family history of this disease. I felt angry and cheated.
I quickly got over it because cancer does not discriminate. But I was not going down like that.
I would not allow this disease to take me without one hell of a fight.
So I have had to spend some time reflecting and figuring out how I got here
and what I am going to do about it.
Cancer is devastating, but it can also be a catalyst for growth, self discovery and self empowerment.
Facing death can be life affirming.
Living is so much more than just being alive. But it takes work.
I have done many things in my life and I feel they have all been leading me here,
to this point in time, because I have something to share.
I am a life coach, an ordained minister, a writer, an artist,
a teacher, an eco-spiritualist, a shamanic practitioner, an activist and more.
Let’s spend some time together, share our stories and learn from one another. Let’s do the work.
I am Angela Gayle.
I am LIVING with stage 4 Breast Cancer and I live with Relentless Hope!
